OK so the first parent/teacher conference went really well. Ms. Martin his teacher has said that chase has a friend that is the same height as him so that is really good. I know when I first took him in there I was a bit concerned cus all the other kids were so much taller than him. But she said that he is doing really good. I can really tell that he is learning so much and I hope that he will continue to be impressionable. His teacher said that he has a REALLY active imagination and that sometimes he will just play by himself. That is so wonderful.
On another note. I have just recently applied for a job working at the Staples company that Steven does security for. They are hiring for second shift which is 3-11. I honestly hope that i get the job. I am so excited and will let you know what happens with that in later post.

First Parent/Teacher Conference
So Friday is gonna be my first Parent/Teacher conference and I am so excited. I get to see all the things that Chase has been doing in school. I love being so involved and knowing everything that is going on in his life. I know that it wont always be this way so I am really cherishing it.
He is still excited to go to school and he actually goes to bed at a decent hour all by himself now. He wakes up every morning ready to go to school. When he gets off the bus he has this huge grin on his face like he is just so happy to see me after a long 3 hours at school and I just love it.
Ashlynn is crawling everywhere now. I cant believe that in just 2 more months she will be a year old. She has been saying a few words like "ni ni"= night night and she says mama and dada. I think she actually said Ba (ball) this morning cus she had a ball in her hand and she was showing it to me.
Ashlynn was very sick for about 2 days. I took her to the hospital to check and see what was going on. When we got there she was running a 102 temp. They gave me some antibiotics and told me that it is a bacterial infection and they cant determine where it came from. So I have been giving her the meds and she is doing alot better now. I still have to give her the meds eventhough she isnt running a fever but that is just to make sure the infection doesnt return. So the good news is she is doing better. I am so glad to cus it has been one heck of a ride.

VIDEO
hi this is Steven going to try and upload a home made video, I spend alot of my time making these and have put alot of time and money in them but they get better with time. keep eye out if i can post it i will share it with everyone. If u have a place i can upload my home movies to I would like the web site, please no YouTube or other Public video host.
Also hurricane IKE is gone but even tho me and angel live in dallas it effected us in many ways,my mother came to get away from IKE and stayed with us, the following morning her truck was towed for no reason what so ever, after a ten hour shift at work and dealing with angry drivers who were not allowed to move freight to houston and having to make sure they did not leave i got home and had to make a drive almost 1 hour one way to get her truck.
The tow company refused any wrong doing and refused to release my mothers truck, after i made one phone call the owner of out apartment complex called them, i even threatened to file a civil suite and they released the truck. we had a house load of kids and ages ranged from 5/4/3/2 i think LOL but with the stress and worry it worked out. my mom left out sunday morning glad to go home.

Staying in same school
So everything worked out with the school. Chase will continue to go to the same school and we managed to work out what bus stop, according to the school, that he will get picked up at. Chase is very excited to get to ride the bus so I hope that he will be just as excited to get on it tomorrow morning when he will ride it for the first time. While I was sitting there taking care of everything for the bus situation I saw his class coming down the hall. There he was in line with one hand behind him and the other over his lips. I loved it. Watching the teachers sort out the children coming in for school was amazing as well.
I know that I have never really known what I wanted to do with my life but after watching the teachers and school faculty I think I have found it. When I was still in school I always wanted to be a 1st grade teacher and now I feel like my feelings for that same career have increased alot more. I know as of right now I am doing school to be a Medical Office Assistant but I think when I go to work I will enroll in college so that I may work to getting my teachers degree.

Me-Mo my kitty
My cat "Me-Mo" is really strange sometimes. When we got her on Mother's Day she was about 9 weeks old. She loves to go into the kitchen draws and to be honest I think that she is so fat that I don't see how she fits. Here are some pictures to show you what she looks like.

New School
Well i have just found out that when i registered Chase into the Irving ISD they had mistakenly put him in the wrong preschool. The reason is because our address is on the borderline of 2 different schools. In order for him to be a big kid and ride the bus like he wants to do we have to take him out of the school that he is in and put him in another one. I hope the transition will go smooth and that I will like his new teacher as much as I like the one he has now.
In other news:
Ashlynn is trying to crawl. She can get on her knees and she knows how to move them but she can't quite get down how to move her hands with them. She is saying "mama" and sometimes she says "dada". She knows how to wave bye-bye and she loves to clap her hands.

My baby is growing so fast.
The time has come when all things begin. First school and then he will be telling me that he is moving out. So the first day was sort of a breeze. He didnt cry when i dropped him off but he did when i picked him up cus he was really tired. His teacher, Ms. Martin, said that she really tired all the kids out and that Chase had tried to fall asleep at the table and since she didnt let him he cried for the last 10 min of class. He only goes to school for 3 hours but that is enough for his little body to handle. I am so proud of him. This morning was his second day and he did actually cry this time but i knew while I was walking away that if I turned around to look at him he would probably cry even harder. I know that he will eventually enjoy going to school tho cus he really loves to play with other kids. This will also help him learn easier which is why I have decided to put him in Pre-K. Also starting in September there will be a designated tearcher's aide coming to my home for 1 hour a day for the remainder of the school year. They will bring materials and stuff for him to do as well. I am thinking of signing up for the volunteer work to help the teachers. If i sign up, the school only requires a minimum of 1 hour a month. I will also participate in all the school field trips if i am able.
I think that this is going to be an awsome experience not only for Chase but for myself as well. I am very excited to see what this year will bring and I am even more excited to watch my son grow as a learner.
